Our Social-Our Society

Whether rural or urban, the influences of marketing, social engineering, mass media and social media have made major global impacts on every culture and societies.  Most Western societies in the post-modern age have undergone possible irreversible fragmantation to the point that they are no longer recognizable of their former state. Left are a few lingering romantics remembering the past as they thought it was and not many are the individuals who dare think what the future should be.  

Most of us caught in the present are too numbed trying to maintain a "buying for time" and keeping a pseudo-balance in the major shifts that are taking place in our lives. But should that be the approach?

 In a world where we could fingerpoint many failed societies, could we point out to a successful society or is that some utopian dream?

 Is it worth investing our time and effort to nurturing our society?
